Wildlife photographs transformed into fine art prints by Maureen Wilks
The desert southwest is an amazing habitat for reptiles and amphibians. I enjoy hiking in New Mexico keeping my eyes open for rattlesnakes, lizards and unusual insects and bugs. The colors and patterns infuse my art and the exciting memories of capturing an hornery snake or coming across a swarm of butterflies puddling in a damp spot of an arroyo brings joy as I sit at my computer in my studio creating magical shapes out of these photographs.
